Spark is built around the part those tools were never good at: turning good intentions into timely, genuine connection - the work that actually drives referrals. We expect agents and advisors to run both.

Is this just another contact app?

Most contact apps are spreadsheets dressed up as relationship apps. They give you a place to type notes about people. The problem they don't solve is the gap between knowing things and acting on them - which is where Spark lives.

Will Spark ever message my clients without me?

Accepted Answer

Never. Every message Spark drafts shows up in Today for you to send, edit, or skip. We don't auto-fire anything to your contacts ever. The whole point is that what gets sent is yours.

Is Spark for personal use too - friends, family?

Accepted Answer

People do use it that way and it works fine for it, but we're building it for professionals first. The features (cadence windows, news grounding, voice profile, afternoon context questions) are tuned for the work of staying thoughtful at a modern scale, not for casual relationship tracking.

How does Spark know who I mean when I say a first name?

If there's only one Sarah in your network, it picks her. If there are multiple, it doesn't guess - it shows you a tap-to-pick list inline ("which Sarah?") and resumes the conversation once you've answered.

What does "cross-attribution" mean - and is it actually useful?

When you mention other people in a note about someone, Spark files notes against everyone involved, not just the contact you started talking about. In practice this means Spark builds a relationship graph instead of a contact list. You can ask later "who do I know who climbs?" and it can answer.

How does the morning Today list get generated?

Spark prepares the Today list overnight, after the news research pass has finished. It looks across your AI-enabled contacts, evaluates birthdays in the next 30 days, due reminders, cadence-window expiry, recent news on your contacts' topics, and ranks. Your ready notification goes out later at the time you choose, with 7am as the default. Free gets 1 AI suggestion a day, Pro gets 5, and Power gets 15. The rest stay quiet until tomorrow.

What's the voice profile?

Once a week, Spark analyzes the messages you've sent through Spark, plus any optional writing samples or integrations you explicitly connect, and distills a small profile of how you write - tone, length, sign-off, emoji habit, common phrasings. Every draft Spark writes runs through that profile, so the output sounds like you, not like an AI pretending to be you.

What's news grounding and is it on by default?

News grounding is a Pro feature. Spark extracts topics from your contacts' notes and once a day runs a deduplicated search across the union of every Pro user's topics. At draft time, if there's fresh news on a contact's topic, Spark weaves it in. It's sentiment-filtered - Spark won't draft a "thinking of you" message because a tragedy hit their city. On by default for Pro users, with per-contact opt-out.

What happens when I dismiss a suggestion?

Spark asks why. You pick a quick tag (tone wrong, wrong channel, already in touch, not interested) or type the reason. Spark distills that into a durable fact on the contact that surfaces on their profile as "What Spark learned," and shapes future drafts.

Do you sell my data?

Accepted Answer

No. The subscription is the product. We don't sell data, license it, or train external models on it. The day we change that is the day the company has lost its reason to exist.

Do you scan my inbox or texts?

No broad access is required. Spark analyzes messages you compose and send through Spark, plus any optional writing samples or integrations you explicitly connect, and only to power the feature you turned on. We do not train models on that data.

What does Spark do with my voice recordings?

Hold-to-talk dictation is transcribed on your device when available - only the transcribed text reaches our server. Full voice mode streams your audio to our speech provider to power the live conversation; it's processed to run the conversation, not stored as recordings, and never used for training.

What about my contacts? They didn't sign up for this.

We treat data about your contacts the same way we treat data about you. It's never sold, never shared with other users, never sent anywhere it doesn't need to go. When you delete a contact, every note and AI-distilled fact about them goes with it.

Yes. Me → Account → Export my data downloads a JSON export of the user-owned records Spark stores for you: contacts, notes, interactions, reminders, tags, AI conversations, relationships, and organizations. Yours to keep whether or not you stay a customer.

Pro is $19.99/month or $179.99/year and unlocks up to 100 AI-enabled contacts, news grounding, afternoon context questions, and weekly voice-profile refresh. Power is $49.99/month or $449.99/year for big books - up to 1,000 AI-enabled contacts and 15 suggestions a day. Annual is 25% off - 3 months free vs. monthly. What does "AI-enabled contact" actually mean?

Every contact in Spark has an AI toggle. When it's on, Spark actively maintains a bio, evaluates them for the morning list, tracks cadence, refreshes voice-tuned drafts, and (Pro) checks their topics for news. When the toggle is off, the contact is still in your address book - just not in the AI rotation. Tiers cap how many can be AI-enabled at once.

What happens if I cancel Pro?

Your data stays. Your AI-enabled contact count is capped back down to the free-tier limit; we don't delete anything beyond it, we just stop running Pro features. Resubscribe and everything picks back up exactly where it left off.

How do I cancel?

Accepted Answer

Through the app store account you used to subscribe. On iPhone, use Apple ID → Subscriptions. On Android, use Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google directly through their standard refund flows.

Is there a Family Sharing plan?

Not at launch. Family Sharing makes less sense for a relationship assistant than for a media app - each family member has their own network, their own contacts, and their own voice profile. We chose to keep one subscription per app store account. If that's genuinely a blocker for you, let us know - we track the request.

Spark is mobile-first by design. The morning list, talking to Spark, the voice input - they're built around the fact that you're carrying your relationships in your pocket. A web app for desktop power use isn't in the near-term plan.

Can I import from my old CRM?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Export to CSV from anywhere - Follow Up Boss, kvCORE, HubSpot, Wise Agent, BoomTown, a Google Sheet, whatever - and drop it in. Spark's AI mapper reads your headers, proposes a column-to-field mapping with confidence scores, and flags anything weird before importing. Duplicates merge without overwriting.

Can my team or assistant share my Spark database?

Not today. Spark is a solo product for now - one person, one relationship graph. Team functionality (shared books, internal mentions, attribution of who-talked-to-whom) is on the roadmap.
